The Lexcel Quality Mark is awarded to legal practices that have successfully met stringent practice management standards covering case management, office administration, financial management, risk assessment and good customer care. Grant Saw earned the award after a rigorous independent assessment of its procedures. Partner Ray Crudgington says, "It is terrific to receive the award, but what really matters is that clients know that they can instruct the firm with confidence. It does not mean that we are perfect, but it should mean that where we fall short we have systems in place to put things right, in a way that other firms may not." Grant Saw traces its history back to 1851 when the firm was founded by Samuel Saw. It has remained in Greenwich throughout its history. In 2005 it merged with the long-established Blackheath practice of Hudgell Yeates & Co. The firm has grown steadily over the last 10 years and now has five partners and a further 20 lawyers providing a wide range of legal services from its modern offices in Norman Road SE10.
