In the Community

Events

We regularly host and support local events and are keen to ensure that our clients, past present and future are aware of the brilliant work we do. We attend events held by the South East London Chamber of Commerce and Blackheath Lunch Club as it is a great way to make professional connections and build our network.

Here are some events that have been attended recently by Grant Saw representatives:

FOREVER YOUNG 2018

GREENWICH & BEXLEY COMMUNITY HOSPICE OPENING OF NEW SENSORY GARDEN ON 13 JUNE 2018

TALK AT AGE EXCHANGE, BLACKHEATH ON 8 JUNE 2018

DEMENTIA FRIENDLY GREENWICH on 24 MAY 2018

Our charity of the year and fundraising

Every year we hold a ballot vote for our staff to choose a local charity to be our ‘Charity of the Year.’ This year it is Demelza and we have held numerous fundraisers including bake sales and ‘dress down’ days to help raise funds for this worthy cause so that they can continue with their amazing work.

Our Wills and Probate department  are taking part in their free Will writing schemes and also the Greenwich and Bexley hospice free Will week.

Community responsibility

Grant Saw are often involved in local fundraising initiatives and events and we take our responsibility to help support the local community very seriously.

We are currently supporting the ‘Transform Blackheath Halls’ initiative, which will help to enhance this local facility and event space for the people of Blackheath, Greenwich and beyond.

We have recently supported Age Exchange by giving talks to their members and sponsoring their annual Christmas Fayre.

We regularly give talks on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and inheritance tax to local care homes and organisations such as the Lewisham Pensioners Forum, Greenwich Carers Centre and the Greenwich Stroke Club.

We have also built a strong relationship with Advocacy for Older People in Greenwich.

Our Wills and Probate department have also recently completed training to make Grant Saw a ‘Dementia Friendly’ business, as part of the Dementia Friendly Greenwich initiative run by Greenwich Council.

Several of our lawyers also volunteer regularly with the Citizens Advice Bureau.
